Absolute Holistic offers 20 dog treat products in Malaysia, spanning dental chews and protein-rich meat treats. This guide breaks down each line, from venison loin strips to cod fish jerky, so you can pick the right treat for your dog's needs.
What Absolute Holistic Offers in Malaysia
Absolute Holistic is a brand focused on dog treats, with 20 products currently available in Malaysia. The range includes two main categories: dental chews and meat-based treats. Dental chews come in 160g packs and 50-piece containers, while meat treats are typically offered in 100g packs. The brand uses proteins like venison and cod fish, and offers various shapes such as strips, sticks, jerky steaks, dumbbells, sandwiches, and sushi-style treats.
All products are designed for dogs and are available through PetChill Malaysia. Whether you have a small apartment dog or a larger breed, there's likely a treat to suit. The dental chews are particularly popular for maintaining oral hygiene, while the meat treats serve as high-value rewards or training aids.
Dental Chews: Fresh Mint, Cranberry, Charcoal, and More
The dental chew line is the largest, with 8 products. These chews are designed to help clean teeth and freshen breath. They come in two formats: 160g packs (likely containing multiple chews) and 50-piece containers. Flavours include Fresh Mint, Cranberry, Milk Tea, Charcoal, Peanut Butter, and Milk. The 50-piece containers are convenient for multi-dog households or for those who like to stock up.
For dogs with sensitive stomachs, the Fresh Mint and Cranberry options are gentle choices. Charcoal is often chosen for its purported detoxifying properties, while Peanut Butter and Milk Tea offer palatable flavours that picky dogs may enjoy. These dental chews are ideal for daily use as part of a dental care routine, especially in Malaysia's humid climate where dental health can be a concern.
Venison Treats: Loin Strips, Jerky, Dumbbells, and More
Venison is a lean, novel protein that can be a good option for dogs with sensitivities to common proteins like chicken or beef. The venison line includes 6 products, such as Venison Loin Strip, Venison Jerky Steak, Venison & Whitefish Sandwich, Venison Loin Stick, Venison & Whitefish Sushi, and Venison Dumbbell. These treats come in 100g packs and offer a variety of textures, from soft jerky to chewy sticks.
The Venison & Whitefish combinations provide a blend of proteins, which can be appealing for dogs that enjoy fish. The dumbbell shape is fun for dogs and can keep them engaged. These treats are suitable for medium to large dogs, or for smaller dogs as a special reward. Given the hot and humid weather in Malaysia, these treats should be stored in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness.
Cod Fish Treats: Loin Strips, Jerky, Sandwiches, and Sushi
The cod fish line also has 6 products, mirroring the venison shapes: Cod Fish Loin Strip, Cod Fish Jerky Steak, Cod Fish & Whitefish Sandwich, Cod Fish Loin Stick, Cod Fish Dumbbell, and Cod Fish & Whitefish Sushi. Fish-based treats are often appreciated by dogs that enjoy seafood, and they provide omega-3 fatty acids, which can support skin and coat health. These treats are particularly beneficial in Malaysia's climate, where skin issues can be common due to humidity.
The cod fish treats are lightweight and easy to break into smaller pieces, making them suitable for training. They are also a good option for dogs with protein allergies to land-based meats. As with all treats, moderation is key, and they should not replace a balanced diet.
How the Product Lines Compare
To make it easier to choose, here's a quick comparison of the main lines:
Dental chews focus on oral hygiene and come in larger pack sizes, making them cost-effective for regular use. Venison and cod fish treats are more about reward and protein variety, with smaller pack sizes. The venison line offers novel protein for sensitive dogs, while cod fish provides omega-3s. Both meat treat lines come in similar shapes, so you can rotate flavours to keep your dog interested.
Who Each Line Suits
Dental chews are ideal for dogs of all sizes, especially those that need extra help with dental care. The 50-piece containers are great for multi-dog homes or for pet owners who want a long-lasting supply. The 160g packs are perfect for trying a flavour or for smaller dogs.
Venison treats suit dogs with protein sensitivities or those that need a lean protein source. They are also good for dogs that enjoy chewy textures. Cod fish treats are excellent for dogs with skin and coat concerns, or for those that love fish. They are also a good choice for training due to their breakability.
In Malaysia's hot weather, treats that are easy to digest and don't spoil quickly are preferred. All Absolute Holistic treats are packaged for convenience, but always reseal after opening.

FAQ
Are Absolute Holistic treats suitable for all dog breeds?
Yes, Absolute Holistic treats are designed for dogs of all breeds. However, choose treat size according to your dog's size to prevent choking. Smaller dogs may need treats broken into pieces.
How often can I give my dog dental chews?
Dental chews can be given daily as part of a dental care routine, but always follow the recommended serving size on the packaging and adjust your dog's main meal accordingly to avoid overfeeding.
Are venison treats good for dogs with allergies?
Venison is a novel protein, meaning it's less commonly used in dog foods, so it may be suitable for dogs with sensitivities to chicken or beef. However, always consult your vet if your dog has severe allergies.
Can puppies eat Absolute Holistic treats?
Some treats may be too hard for puppies. Dental chews and jerky treats are generally for adult dogs. Consult your vet for age-appropriate treats for puppies.
How should I store these treats in Malaysia's climate?
Keep treats in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Humidity can affect freshness, so reseal packs tightly after opening.
