Back2Nature Product Lines Explained
The GRAIN FREE line is the largest, with 16 products. It includes wet cat food in 80g pouches, such as BACK2NATURE GRAIN FREE WILD TUNA + SARDINE 80g (B2N-C012) and BACK2NATURE GRAIN FREE KITTEN TUNA + INULIN 80g (B2N-C009). These recipes feature wild tuna combined with ingredients like sardine, anchovy, mackerel, mussel, quail egg, and lamb heart. There are also grain-free wet dog foods in 395g cans, like Back2Nature Grain Free Salmon + Wildboar Duo Meats Recipe 395g (B2NC5558) and Back2Nature Grain Free Wildboar + Pork Duo Meats Recipe 395g (B2NC5510).
The Grain Free line (with a capital 'G' and 'F') has 6 products. It includes dry dog food in 300g, 1.8kg, and 11kg sizes, such as Back2Nature Grain Free Pork 11kg (B271) and Back2Nature Grain Free Three Fish Small Bite 300g (BS145). These are designed for dogs and come in smaller bite sizes for easier chewing.
The WELLNEZZ CHICKEN line offers 6 products, all wet cat food in 95g pouches. Each recipe combines chicken with a functional ingredient: seaweed, pumpkin, goji berry, cranberry, chia seed, or cartilage. Examples include BACK2NATURE WELLNEZZ CHICKEN + SEAWEED 95g (B2N-W206) and BACK2NATURE WELLNEZZ CHICKEN + CARTILAGE 95g (B2NW201).
The Vegan + line has 2 products: Back2Nature Vegan + Ganoderma Cuisine 10kg (B176) and Back2Nature Vegan + Ganoderma Cuisine 1.8kg (B169). These are dry dog foods featuring ganoderma, a mushroom known in traditional Chinese medicine. This line is suitable for dogs with certain protein allergies or for owners seeking a plant-based diet for their pets.
Wet Food vs Dry Food: Which Format Suits Your Pet?
Back2Nature offers both wet and dry foods. Wet foods, such as the 80g and 95g cat pouches and 395g dog cans, are ideal for cats and dogs that need extra hydration. In Malaysia's hot and humid climate, wet food can help increase water intake, which is especially important for cats prone to urinary issues.
Dry foods, like the 300g, 1.8kg, 10kg, and 11kg bags, are convenient for free-feeding or for pets that prefer crunch. They are also easier to store in apartments where space is limited. The smaller 300g bags are great for trying a new recipe or for small breeds.
For multi-pet households, mixing wet and dry can provide variety and balance. Always transition gradually and ensure fresh water is available.
Choosing the Right Recipe for Your Cat or Dog
For cats, Back2Nature offers grain-free wet foods in 80g and 95g sizes. The GRAIN FREE line includes recipes like WILD TUNA + SARDINE and KITTEN TUNA + INULIN, which are suitable for adult cats and kittens respectively. The WELLNEZZ CHICKEN line provides functional benefits: + SEAWEED for skin and coat, + PUMPKIN for digestion, + GOJI BERRY for immunity, + CRANBERRY for urinary health, + CHIA SEED for omega-3s, and + CARTILAGE for joint support.
For dogs, there are grain-free dry options in the Grain Free line, such as Pork, Three Fish Small Bite, Salmon Small Bite, and Lamb. These come in 300g trial sizes and larger bags. The GRAIN FREE line also includes wet dog food in 395g cans with duo meats like Salmon + Wildboar and Wildboar + Pork. The Vegan + line is a unique dry dog food option for those avoiding animal proteins.
Consider your pet's age, size, and health needs. Small breeds may prefer small bite kibble, while large dogs may benefit from bulk bags. If your pet has allergies, grain-free or vegan options might be worth discussing with your vet.
Feeding Back2Nature in Malaysia's Climate
Malaysia's hot and humid weather can affect pet food storage. Dry food should be kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. The 10kg and 11kg bags are economical but may take longer to consume, so consider smaller sizes if your pet is small or if you have limited storage.
Wet food pouches and cans should be stored in a cool place and refrigerated after opening. Always serve at room temperature to encourage eating. In warm weather, wet food can spoil quickly, so discard any leftovers after 30 minutes.
Ensure your pet has access to fresh water at all times, especially when feeding dry food. In apartments, place water bowls in multiple locations to encourage drinking.
