CICI cat litter comes in 5L, 10L, and 20kg bags with five scent options: lemon, lavender, kopi, baby powder, and apple. For dogs, CICI's parent range includes PARIE nutrition and health products. This guide helps Malaysian pet owners choose the right format, size, and scent for their home, and explains how to read labels without guessing.
CICI at a Glance: What You Need to Know
CICI is a brand available at PetChill Malaysia, primarily known for its PASIR KUCING cat litter line. The range includes 15 products across three sizes and five scents, giving cat owners flexibility for different household sizes and preferences. For dog owners, CICI also offers the PARIE range of dog nutrition and health products, so the brand caters to both cats and dogs.
The cat litter comes in 5L, 10L, and 20kg formats. The 5L and 10L sizes are measured in litres, which typically indicates the volume of litter, while the 20kg size is measured by weight. This distinction matters when comparing value and storage needs. The five scents—lemon, lavender, kopi, baby powder, and apple—are available across all sizes, so you can match your favourite scent with the size that suits your home.
Because Malaysia's climate is hot and humid, litter choice can affect odour control and how often you need to change the litter. CICI's scented options may help with freshness, but the actual performance depends on the litter material, which is not specified in the facts we have. We recommend testing a smaller size first to see how it performs in your home before committing to a larger bag.
Life Stage and Format: Cat Litter vs. Dog Nutrition
For cats, CICI's PASIR KUCING is a litter product, not a food. Life stage considerations for litter are minimal—kittens, adults, and seniors all use litter, but kittens may benefit from a low-dust, unscented option if they are sensitive. However, CICI's litter is scented, so if you have a very young kitten or a cat with respiratory sensitivities, introduce scents gradually and monitor for any signs of discomfort.
For dogs, the PARIE range falls under dog nutrition and health products. The facts do not specify life stages (puppy, adult, senior) or formats (dry, wet, treats) for PARIE, so we cannot recommend specific products for life stages. We advise reading the individual product labels for feeding guidelines and life stage suitability. Always transition to a new food gradually over 7–10 days to avoid digestive upset.
The key difference is that CICI cat litter is a consumable hygiene product, while PARIE dog products are nutritional or health supplements. This guide focuses mainly on the cat litter range because it has detailed product information, but we include the dog range for completeness.
How to Read the Label on CICI Cat Litter
When you pick up a bag of CICI PASIR KUCING, the label will show the scent and the size. For example, 'CICI PASIR KUCING 5L (LEMON)' tells you the volume is 5 litres and the scent is lemon. The 20kg bags are labelled by weight, such as 'CICI PASIR KUCING 20KG (LAVENDER)'. This helps you compare products quickly.
The label may also include instructions for use, such as how deep to fill the litter box and how often to change the litter. Since the facts do not provide specific instructions, we recommend following the guidelines on the packaging. Generally, you should remove solid waste daily and change the litter regularly, but the frequency depends on the number of cats and the litter type.
For dog products under PARIE, the label will include ingredients, guaranteed analysis, and feeding directions. The facts do not list these details, so we cannot provide specific nutritional information. Always check the label for the most accurate and up-to-date information, and consult your veterinarian if you have questions about your dog's diet.
Choosing the Right Size for Your Home
CICI cat litter comes in three sizes: 5L, 10L, and 20kg. The 5L bag is a good starting point for single-cat households or for trying a new scent. It is also convenient for apartments where storage space is limited. The 10L bag offers a middle ground, suitable for one or two cats and for those who prefer fewer trips to the store.
The 20kg bag is the largest option and is ideal for multi-cat households or for owners who want to stock up. However, keep in mind that 20kg is a significant weight, so you'll need a sturdy storage container and a place to keep it dry. In Malaysia's humid climate, storing litter in a cool, dry place is important to prevent clumping or odour issues.
If you are unsure, start with a smaller size to test the scent and performance. Once you know what works, you can move to the larger size for better convenience. The table below summarises the available sizes and scents.
Scent Options: What to Expect
CICI offers five scents: lemon, lavender, kopi, baby powder, and apple. Scented litter can help mask odours, but cats can be sensitive to strong fragrances. If your cat is picky, you may want to introduce a scented litter gradually by mixing it with unscented litter.
Lemon and apple are fresh, fruity scents that many people find pleasant. Lavender is floral and calming, while baby powder is soft and familiar. Kopi (coffee) is a unique option that may appeal to those who enjoy the smell of coffee; it could also help neutralise odours. However, the actual scent strength and longevity depend on the product, so individual experiences may vary.
For households with multiple cats or open litter boxes in living areas, a scented litter might be helpful. But always prioritise your cat's comfort—if your cat avoids the litter box after a change, revert to the previous litter or try a different scent.
Dog Owners: The PARIE Range
While CICI is best known for cat litter, the brand also offers PARIE dog nutrition and health products. The facts do not specify the exact products, formats, or life stages, so we cannot provide a detailed breakdown. However, if you are looking for dog food or supplements, you can explore the PARIE range on our brand hub.
When choosing dog nutrition, consider your dog's age, size, and activity level. Puppies, adults, and seniors have different nutritional needs, and the label should indicate which life stage the product is suitable for. Always transition to a new food gradually and monitor your dog's response.
For health products, such as supplements, consult your veterinarian before adding them to your dog's routine. The PARIE range may include options for joint health, skin and coat, or digestive support, but we cannot confirm specific products without more information.
