VitalPlus offers 18 products in Malaysia across three categories: cat litter, cat wet food and dog dry food. The range includes tofu-based litter in four scents, Flakes cat food pouches in tuna and chicken varieties, and a dog pork dry food in two sizes. This guide explains each line and helps you shortlist for your pet.
What VitalPlus Sells in Malaysia
VitalPlus is a pet brand available in Malaysia with a focused range of 18 products. The lineup covers cats and dogs, with formats including 18kg, 4kg, 2.8kg and 70g. The products fall into three main categories: cat litter and deodorizing cleaning, cat wet food, and dog dry food.
For cat owners, VitalPlus offers Mixed Tofu Litter in four scents and Flakes cat wet food pouches in a wide variety of protein combinations. For dog owners, there is a single dry food formula: Dog Pork, available in 4kg and 18kg bags.
This guide breaks down each product line, explains who each one suits, and provides a checklist to help you choose. All product names and details are based on the actual VitalPlus range available in Malaysia.
Cat Litter: Mixed Tofu Litter in Four Scents
VitalPlus Mixed Tofu Litter comes in 2.8kg bags and is available in four scents: Lemon, Lavender, Green Tea and Charcoal. The product codes are VP-L104 (Lemon), VP-L103 (Lavender), VP-L102 (Green Tea) and VP-L101 (Charcoal). Tofu litter is popular in Malaysia because it clumps well and is easy to scoop, which suits the hot and humid climate where odour control matters.
The Mixed Tofu formula is designed for cats. The four scent options allow you to choose based on your preference for freshness or odour neutralisation. Charcoal is often chosen for its odour-absorbing properties, while Lemon, Lavender and Green Tea offer lighter, pleasant fragrances.
Each bag is 2.8kg, which is a manageable size for apartment living and easy to store. If you have multiple cats or a larger litter box, you may need to replace bags more frequently, but the 2.8kg format is convenient for regular use.
Cat Wet Food: Flakes Pouches in Tuna and Chicken
VitalPlus Flakes cat wet food comes in 70g pouches, ideal for single servings or mixing with dry food. There are two main lines: Flakes Tuna (6 products) and Flakes Chicken (6 products). Each line includes plain options and combinations with other ingredients.
The Flakes Tuna line includes: Tuna (VP-FP07), Tuna with Goat Milk (VP-FP12), Tuna with Chicken (VP-FP11), Tuna with Scallop (VP-FP10), Tuna with Salmon (VP-FP09), and Tuna with Crab Stick (VP-FP08). The Flakes Chicken line includes: Chicken (VP-FP01), Chicken with Scallop (VP-FP06), Chicken with Salmon (VP-FP05), Chicken with Sardine (VP-FP04), Chicken with Goat Milk (VP-FP03), and Chicken with Tuna (VP-FP02).
These pouches are suitable for cats of all life stages, though you should always check the feeding guide on the packaging. The 70g size is convenient for portion control and reduces waste, especially in Malaysia's warm climate where opened food should be refrigerated and used quickly.
The variety means you can rotate flavours to keep your cat interested, or choose based on protein preference. For example, Chicken with Goat Milk might appeal to cats that need a richer texture, while Tuna with Scallop offers a seafood twist.
Dog Dry Food: Dog Pork in Two Sizes
VitalPlus Dog Pork is a dry dog food available in two bag sizes: 4kg (VPD552021) and 18kg (VPD552076). This is the only dog formula in the VitalPlus range, making it a straightforward choice for dog owners who prefer a single-protein pork recipe.
The 4kg bag suits small to medium dogs or households that prefer smaller, fresher bags. The 18kg bag is more economical for larger dogs or multi-dog homes, though proper storage in an airtight container is essential in Malaysia's humid weather to maintain freshness.
As with any dry food, transition gradually and follow the feeding guidelines on the pack. The pork formula is designed for adult dogs, but always confirm with the label for life stage suitability.
How the Product Lines Compare
The table below summarises the VitalPlus lines, their formats and key details based on the available facts. This helps you see the range at a glance.
When comparing, consider your pet's species, the format that fits your routine, and the specific variants. For cats, you have both litter and food options; for dogs, the focus is on the Dog Pork dry food.
Who Each Line Suits
Mixed Tofu Litter suits cat owners who want a clumping, easy-to-scoop litter with scent options. It's particularly useful in apartments where odour control is important. The 2.8kg bag is easy to carry and store.
Flakes Tuna and Flakes Chicken pouches suit cat owners looking for variety and convenience. The 70g pouches are ideal for single-cat households or as a topper for dry food. The wide range of flavours can help picky eaters.
Dog Pork dry food suits dog owners who prefer a pork-based dry diet. The 4kg bag is good for small dogs or trial, while the 18kg bag is better for large dogs or multi-dog homes.
How to Shortlist VitalPlus for Your Pet
Start by identifying your pet's species and primary need: litter, wet food or dry food. For cats, decide if you need litter, food, or both. For dogs, the choice is simpler with Dog Pork.
For cat litter, consider scent preference and odour control needs. For cat food, think about protein preference (tuna or chicken) and whether you want plain or mixed varieties. For dogs, choose the bag size based on your dog's size and consumption rate.
