Chapter 6: Feeding equipment and food storage
Portion control starts with a simple measuring scoop so you do not overfeed during festive seasons when treats are everywhere. Elevated feeders can help taller dogs eat comfortably, while shallow wide bowls suit flat-faced breeds that struggle with deep dishes.
Humidity is the real enemy here. Transfer dry food from the bag into an airtight container with a scoop, and keep it off the floor to avoid ants. Check for clumping and musty smells regularly, and wash bowls daily to prevent slime buildup.
