Chapter 8: Transitioning to wet food without upsetting your cat's stomach
Cats have sensitive stomachs, so sudden food changes often cause vomiting or diarrhea. Mix the new wet food with the current food over seven to ten days, gradually increasing the wet portion. Start with a small amount and observe stool consistency, appetite and energy levels. In Malaysia's warm climate, any uneaten wet food should be discarded rather than saved for the next meal. If digestive upset lasts more than two days, stop the transition and speak to your vet.
