Chapter 4: Choosing the right location

Put the litter box somewhere calm and easy to reach, but well away from your cat's food and water bowls. Cats naturally avoid eating near where they toilet, and a box sitting next to the kibble dish can put them off both. In most Malaysian homes the best spots are a quiet bathroom, an empty corner of a utility room, or a shaded part of the balcony away from direct afternoon sun. Keep it away from rumbling washing machines.
