Chapter 6: Odour and humidity control

Malaysia's heat and humidity make litter boxes smell faster than in cooler climates. Choose a clumping litter that absorbs moisture well, scoop solid waste at least twice a day, and top up with fresh litter rather than letting the level drop. A box in a stuffy room with no airflow will turn smelly within a day, so keep a window or fan nearby. Wash the box with mild detergent and rinse it thoroughly every one to two weeks.
