Chapter 5: Road accidents and safe transport to the clinic

Malaysian roads are busy, and a pet that escapes onto them faces serious trauma. After a collision, approach the injured animal slowly, speak softly and improvise a muzzle from gauze or a strip of cloth, because even the gentlest animal may bite when hurt. Support the spine on a flat board or a folded towel and keep the animal warm and still in the air-conditioned car on the way to the clinic. Note the time of the accident and any bleeding you observed.
