Chapter 9: Behaviour changes that signal illness
Advanced owners should treat subtle behaviour shifts as early clinical signs. Increased vocalisation, inappropriate elimination, sudden aggression when touched, spending more time hiding, or altered grooming habits often precede obvious physical symptoms. In tropical heat, cats may also drink and urinate more due to kidney or thyroid issues. Keep a simple log of changes and share it with your vet, since patterns over days are more informative than a single observation during the consultation.
